LIVE COMEDY - FRINGE VENUES - VINYL RECORDS #SaveLiveComedy
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society and Crowdfunder have teamed up to launch a new campaign which aims to support the myriad of artists, venues and creatives who make the Fringe happen every year, by providing them with a space to raise vital funds.
From its earliest beginnings in 1947, the Fringe has provided a totally uncensored platform for artists from all backgrounds, cultures and perspectives to tell their story and shape their own worlds.
This summer, for the first time in 73 years, the Fringe will not be going ahead as planned. The coronavirus outbreak has presented us all with world-changing challenges, with Fringe artists and venues facing an estimated £21 million shortfall as a result of this year’s festival not taking place.
We believe that now is the time to come together as a Fringe family and support the FringeMakers that create and animate the festival every year. If you’re an artist, venue or creative, we’d love to help you get set up on the platform to raise vital funds. If you’re a Fringe fan, please explore the wonderful array of individual projects on the platform and give what you can – the cost of a ticket, a round of drinks, literally whatever you can afford.
The Fringe wouldn’t exist without the creative souls who bring their extraordinary work to Edinburgh every year. It’s their dedication, commitment and sheer hard work which enables it to come to life each year. They embody this great festival and we want it to continue for generations to come.

AJ Bell Fringe on Friday is a 60-minute Fringe variety show and fundraiser, made possible thanks to the generous support of online investment platform AJ Bell.
This new digital show will stream every Friday during the Fringe (07, 14, 21 and 28 August) and will showcase the festival across a range of genres, including comedy, cabaret, dance and music. Each show will feature nine different acts and will go out live at 9pm, with tickets costing £9 each (£1 less than the cost of the average Fringe ticket).
