Aim

Help us make miracles happen: Emma Lindsay and Alice Gale-Feeny are fundraising to show a new performance at The Fringe.

You Can Call it Confirmation Bias is a performance grounded in friendship and a desire for objects to predict the future.

Two performers construct worlds using voice and movement alongside paper props, miracle fish and trees that look like women’s legs.

~~~
Emma Lindsay and Alice Gale-Feeny are two artists who make sincere, awkward, and visually inventive performance.
It’s their first year at The Fringe and they are nervous and excited.
Programmed to take place for a two week run from August 3rd-15th in the basement of Bar SOBA, help them to promote this experimental work to audiences at the festival and beyond.
Emma and Alice are looking for support to cover the online registration fee to the festival (£295) and printing of physical posters and flyers (£200).
~~~

Audience feedback for Emma Lindsay’s work:

"It was brilliant... funny, thought provoking and moving."

Audience feedback for Alice Gale-Feeny’s work:

“It unravelled, and kept unraveling.”

~~

Both performers trained in Fine Art and met during their MFA in Creative Practice at Trinity Laban, London in 2019.  They bring their particular understanding of both contemporary  art and movement practice to performance making, which culminates in experimental and innovative work which bridges art, dance, writing, and installation.

This work is made possible by the Society for Theatre Research’s 2023 practitioner grant.
