WHEN WE WERE YOUNG is coming to the Fringe and we need YOUR help to share this working class theatre piece raising awareness of knife crime

After a public and critically acclaimed Uk Tour and a flurry of ★★★★★ reviews, WHEN WE WERE YOUNG is coming to the Edinburgh Fringe to highlight the growing issues of Gang violence and knife crime that is on the rise all over the Uk, so strap in for an emotionally roller-coaster of a ride with this hilarious and heartbreaking piece of working class theatre in one of the most surprising and heartfelt shows that Scottish theatre has to offer.
When we were young seemes, at first, to be a fly on the wall comedy following the lives of one of the many Glaswegian young teams But very quickly we start to see and hear of the horrors that lie just beneath the surface of this street gang's bravado. It's a biting glimpse into the reality of poverty, and a shocking story that so desperately deserves to be told and is sadly just as relevant and important in today’s society.

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
We are doing this production independently. That means covering the cost of everything on our own — venue fees, travel, parking, marketing, flyering, insurance and PR which all mounts up.
Funding theatre is always hard but it feels especially hard at the moment. While we hope to recover some costs through ticket sales, the upfront costs are very expensive
Any profits we do make will be shared amongst the extremely hard working team of actors who have committed regardless of the box office success to tell this important story and raise awareness of the pressing issues covered in the play.
Your support helps cover:
Estimated total cost: £7,800
Every donation — no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.
