We are so excited to be taking our new musical We’ll Have Nun of It to Edinburgh Fringe with Underbelly this summer! 🎻 🪗
We began workshopping this production back in 2019 and have poured buckets of love into developing it over the last few years. We were originally set to head to Edinburgh Fringe back in 2020 before Covid struck, and were a finalist for Pleasance’s Charlie Hartill Award for New Work after our performance at The Pleasance in London, which was a great honor!
This year is the year of Nun (!) and we can’t wait to see the show finally take flight at one of Edinburgh Fringe’s most reputable venues for new musicals - Underbelly has been the breeding ground for smash hits like SIX and Unfortunate amongst many more!
To show our appreciation for your support, we have curated a handful of exciting prizes, including West End tickets, hampers, signed West End & Cinema merchandise, personalised messages from top talent from singers and film stars alike (ooo exciting!) and so much more. ALL this and MORE to be announced very shortly. Every donation will be entered automatically, so you'll have a chance of winning!
We’ll Have Nun of It blends contemporary pop, soul, and Irish folk music in a dynamic story of convent school life. Follow four friends as they navigate the angst and joys of the 60s, with all of its liberations and frustrations. Through turbulent struggles of Irish emigration, sexuality and faith, sisterhood remains the light through it all.
At its core the show is about asking questions and finding answers. As young people today, we are continually asking those in power to step up and deliver answers about our future.
The production grew from conversations that our creative team had with their families about convent school life in the 60s and emigrating from Ireland to England during a time of much upheaval. It’s a personal show that explores real stories from real people.
The production is fully actor-muso which means that all of our amazing cast play a multitude of instruments throughout. Be prepared to see a fantastic display of talent!
