'This Is How I Got Arrested... after smuggling drugs across the border but never actually getting caught with any drugs' is coming to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2026 - ZOO PLAYGROUND 3 @ 7.40pm!
On one condition... YOU HELP 'SOPHIE' GET OUT OF JAIL!
Spent charges in Spain, deported back to England & put on tag, 'Sophie' has been traveling around the UK telling her side of the story! THE WHOLE TRUTH! After hearing the news of a 5 star review in Brighton, as well as award nomination 'The Nest New Writing Award; 'Sophie' decided to celebrate in her usual style 'FULL THROTTLE' and in the up keeping of the old tradition she accidently breached her bail...
Only by breaking curfew. Don't worry, she's not a 'proper criminal'
Anyways, this has left her in some trouble because now she's locked up!
AGAIN!
But...
If her good behaviour proceeds in prison, Sophie has been promised release from her Cat C to an open prison by the end of July... but this is still not good enough! She needs to be in Scotland for August to partake in The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2026! She needs her side of the story to be told...

Told under the pressure of a ticking clock, lies unravel, truths emerge and mischief escalates into madness. At the centre is 'Sophie' a witty, thick-skinned young woman whose search for belonging, excitement and escape leads her down increasingly dangerous paths. A working class youngster who takes the phrase 'girls just wanna have fun' a little too far.
Sophie's hoping that all the good & kindness she's given to the universe over the years will pay off in return for this plea of help... Sophie is a strong, smart, witty, misunderstood, survivor, who deserves and is determined to be released to tell her story to the universe!
