We will bring a well-written and well-performed show to Edinburgh. We expect it to be one of those shows that everyone’s talking about!
The Gentleman of Shalott is a queer retelling of Tennyson's poem The Lady of Shalott: a man stuck in a tower, while horny guys outside try to meet him. It’s an absurdist comedy exploring social media, anxiety and climate collapse.

We previewed the show in February 2024 at a fringe venue in London, and it was a great success: we had 4 exceptional reviews; a Standing Ovation nomination; and we sold over 80% of our seats, which enabled us to cover our modest costs.
The play’s success was primarily due to high levels of audience engagement. People found it relevant to personal experiences: relationships, dating apps, mental health, and anxiety about the environment. Many commented on the quality of the writing: some comparing it to Beckett, and the fact that it really made them laugh.
Audience members said it was the perfect play to take to Edinburgh, and with this in mind, we paid the first deposit for a slot on Stage 1 at The Space on the Mile.
We’re aware of the multiple barriers that creatives with ADHD face when realising their projects, particularly when telling the narratives of their own lived experiences. We are therefore delighted to have been nominated for a Standing Ovation award and relish the opportunity to inspire others with the success of this journey so far.
We do not expect to make a profit, but our only revenue comes from ticket sales. Any funds gratefully received would therefore help us to avoid making a loss.
