Tanken is a 40-minute production scheduled to be performed from August 2nd until August 20th at CAurora Studio during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023.
The play is set in the year 7100, a descendant of petrol station mascots journeys to the year 2100. It encounters a world where ice caps have stopped melting, corporations have gone bankrupt, and petrol is cheap. Esso and Shell, wearing their (post-)capitalist costumes, grapple with their relevance and hope for a better future.
We are projekt.vakuum an unyielding force of women and with Tanken we want to crack even the most stoic facade. We are Emma Sacks, Gioia Gwin, Vanessa Morandell, Sophie Léon Pellegrin and Friederike Karpf. We aim to make a production that deftly challenges worn-out arguments and sparks a winds of change.
As five young women at the start of their careers we need your help to pay for Venue Hire, Festival Registration Fee, Travel to and from Edinburgh, Advertising, Per Diems, Set, Costume, Props, Cost of Tickets donated to Charity. When it comes to fees, we prioritized performing at the Fringe over making bank. We're counting on hitting our crowdfunding goal, so we don't end up in the Fringe's "Hall of Debtors".
This project offers rewards in return for your donation.
