Following our first ever visit to the Edinburgh Festival in August, we are already raising money for a return visit with two shows in 2024!
Shadow Road Productions is going back to Edinburgh in 2024! After many years as enthusiastic audience members, we finally took two of our own shows up North in August this year, where we had a wonderful time, gathered some fantastic reviews, and learnt a HUGE amount. All of which has made us extremely keen to return again next year, to put all that we have learnt into practice and do even better on our second visit.
We are lucky enough to be going back to the fabulous theSpaceUK venues - and again with not one but two productions: our tried and tested Macbeth: Sleep No More, and a brand new adaptation of Treasure Island, soon to be written by our Artistic Director Emma King-Farlow, and performed by the same cast as Macbeth.
With so many expenses to cover, we are starting the fundraising as early as possible this time around - with our very own Amy Floyd (Shadow Road's Fight Director, Co-Producer and star of Macbeth, among other shows!) valiantly undertaking a sponsored 5k Santa Run on December 7th 2023!
What do we need the money for?
Taking a show to Edinburgh is an incredibly expensive and risky undertaking - though also a hugely exciting one! Any money raised will go towards our production expenses, which include but are not limited to the following:
How can you help us?
We would be eternally grateful for any financial support you feel able to offer us, but there is more than one way in which you can help us achieve our goals! These include:
- Making a donation via this page.
- Signing up as a Patron on our Patreon page - donations start from £2 per month.
- Buying tickets for either of our Edinburgh shows via the EdFringe website - either Macbeth, or Treasure Island, or both! - as soon as they go on sale early in the New Year.
- Attending our fundraising coffee morning at St Mary's Barnes, SW13 9HL, on Saturday 27th January 2024 from 10am-12.30pm, where you can enjoy some delicious tea, coffee and homemade cake, all in a very good cause!
- Sharing this campaign on social media, via email, or on your own websites - every bit of buzz will help us! You can find us on Instagram (@shadowroad_), on Twitter (@shadowroad), TikTok (@shadowroadproductions) and on Facebook (facebook.com/ShadowRoadProductions)
- Talking about us and these shows to anyone who will listen, both online and off - good word of mouth can work wonders! :-)

Thank you so much for your interest in Shadow Road and our productions. We would never have made it to Edinburgh without your help this year and we are SO grateful for it.
We will keep you updated on our progress towards Edinburgh 24 via this website, on our social media and - for those who choose that particular reward - via postcards from Bonnie Scotland next year!
We really hope to see some of you in one or more of our audiences, in both London and Scotland, and we wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays in the meantime! :-)
With all best wishes and many thanks, as ever,
Emma King-Farlow & Amy Floyd
