Aim
A story about a man who became a machine. With wild imagination & dark humour, Punk takes on poignant themes lightly but not slightly.
This is Apropos of Nothing Production – a student production company from Oxford, trying to bring our exciting new-writing play Punk to Edinburgh Fringe this year!
Written and directed by Aaron Low, put together by an amazing cast and a lovely crew, all full-time students yet committing their best effort and talent to the show, Punk is an experiment, but an incredibly adept one. Already premiered at the Burton Taylor Theatre, we received acclaim from students and critics alike, stunned and mesmerised by the crazy world Punk presents them.
Punk is a show about anger, conflict, and difficulty – that being said, we would like it to be seen by more people from different backgrounds with different stories, to yet find something communal in the show. The vigour and diversity of Edinburgh Fringe would enable us just to do that.
With a big cast and big set pieces, though, Punk needs some help to realise our ambition at Edinburgh Fringe. Your kind donations will be helping us to cover expenses in accomodation, travel, and venue rent, which can be very hard numbers for undergrad students to produce. We would be terribly grateful for your contribution!

In less than three days, Emory will turn irreversibly into a machine. Wanting to leave something of value behind before he no longer can, he tries to get his impossible story told by a journalist who doesn't believe him. With the clock ticking, a curious stranger approaches an increasingly desperate Emory with an outrageous but intriguing proposition: to film his transformation and become the star of his very own snuff film. ln this angry and surreal dark comedy, Emory takes to the mic to retell the events of one insane, unbelievable weekend.
