We are two Scottish actors looking to raise funds for our debut performance at the Fringe this year.

Ladies Like You

We are Ella Ironside and Amy Dallas founders of Ladies Like You Theatre Company.

We are a brand new theatre company looking to make our mark on the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022.

After many instances of "well intentioned people" making it their business to tell us that "Ladies like you shouldn't..." be swearing, be brash or talking about our sex lives. We decided to do it anyway and go one step further by putting it on a stage for everyone to see. Ladies like you deserve your voices to be heard, swearing and all.

What we are doing may not start a revolution but it will start a conversation. And we want to talk about all the things that 'ladies like you' want, feel, love, hate, are angry at...

Even though 'ladies' implies a specific audience, we want to make it clear that we want everyone involved in this conversation regardless of gender and gender presentation. We all have a voice and everyone deserves to be heard.

Who we are...

1649925178_tempimagecwbkt0.jpgAmy Dallas, a semi-recent graduate of Acting for Stage and Screen at both Queen Margaret and Napier University. This is her second time doing the Fringe Festival, however this is her first time with this debut company. She is most excited about sharing this important story with audiences and seeing their reactions. She hopes that people take away this message and ruminate on it.

1649925119_tempimageaghcmz.jpgElla Ironside is graduating from the Manchester School of Theatre later this year. She is a complete newbie to the Fringe and is very excited to be performing with this particular company. She is most looking forward to experiencing the fringe in full and getting to be apart of such an important conversation.

Pramkicker is...

A biting dark comedy by Sadie Hasler that takes an unflinching look at what it means to be childfree in a world of yummy mummies. This dynamic two-hander joins two sisters rekindling their relationship over handfull anger management sessions and plenty of gin drinking. Jude wonders if having children is the only way to lead a fulfilling life. The pressure of making the "right" choice is amplified when it seems that neither time nor her sister is on her side. Equally hilarious and heart-wrenching, this play may not start a revolution but it will start a conversation.

Who we play...

 Amy Dallas

1649926321_tempimageqipedw.jpgSusie had always struggled in the shadow of her big sister but now it’s time for her to make some big girl decisions. In helping her sister with anger management classes she find herself learning more and more about her own life. What she wants. Who she is. And who she wants to be. This character has so many dimensions that as an actor I’m so excited to explore all of the right choices and wrong choices that Susie makes and how they effect her.

Ella Ironside

1649926399_tempimagexu4uex.jpgJude takes no shit, she is loud in her opinions and in how she expresses them! She knows that children is not part of her future and has to deal with many people making her feel inadequate for her choices. However she copes well with the help of her sister and a few G&T’s along the way! ???? Even though we are women in their early 20’s we are starting to have discussions about the ticking time bomb and societal pressures of having children. 'Choosing’ between starting a family or having a career, making us think that having both is impossible. I feel very privileged to be apart of that conversation.

Thank you for engaging with this page, donations are not necessary but are greatly appreciated. We are a complete start up theatre company with no funding expect from the kindness of people hearts. Anything that you are able to give is helpful from a penny to a pound - we appreciate it all!

Many thanks

Ladies Like You Theatre Co.
