Help us bring our new sketch comedy show "Now: Shame." to the Edinburgh Fringe 2022!

Now: Shame. - An introduction.

Back in early 2020, we were gearing up to write a heinously hilarious sketch show and bring it to the fabulous fringe. You know what happened next.

Now, two years later and a whole lot wiser, we have written a sketch show full of wonderful characters and weird situations to whet your whistle and bring you three-hundred-and-sixty degrees of full fat fun.

What's it about?

Fast-paced and snappy, our show centres around two medieval peasants looking to stage their dramatic offering at the fair in Yorkshire's brightest jewel – Esksidedale cum-Ugglebarnby. Their travels are not without obstacles, however, as their journey takes them through the treacherous tribulations of a dysfunctional airline, an acting school which specialises exclusively in the art of waving, as well as a premature eulogy at a premature funeral. Standard, really.

The show will have something for everyone and we aim to provide a good-natured and inclusive performance which doesn't shy away from satire, without ever punching down.

Who are we?

FaceOddity Productions is made up of five likeminded friends who met at university (in Edinburgh of all places) with a variety of interests and strengths, as well as a combination of skillsets. We are:

Fergus Head – Performer/Writer
Actor, avid archaeologist, amateur alpinist (at least one of those is true).

Dominic Sorrell – Performer/Writer
Performer, physicist, part-time preacher (at least one of those is untrue).

Michael Zwiauer – Producer/Writer
Writer, wig-maker, wizard (none of those are particularly true).

Max Walker – Writer
Journalist, jogger, jewel (all true).

Will Peppercorn – Writer
Film-maker, moon-raker, bun-baker. (completely irrelevant whether true or not).

Why we need your help

Your help, however much or little, would go a long way to organising and securing the various expenses involved in staging a show at the fringe – from accommodation to venue fees, from costumes and props to marketing costs.

Thank you ever so much.

Yours, FaceOddity Productions.
