Edinburgh

I have been trying to take my own show to Edinburgh for a long time but have never been in the financial position to do this by myself. I've been there as part of a duo and trio, where the funds have been raised between us. But now I feel it's time to do this by myself, yet I don't know quite how to make it happen financially. 

About me

A year or so ago I went viral with my Liz Truss parodies and since then I've had a real motivation to finally make my own work. For years I've hidden behind others, not just performance-wise but also because doing it alone is financially really scary and money has always been an area of difficulty in my family, as it is for so many. I won't go into the ins and outs but it's been a bit ridiculous! 

For years I've tried to say yes to every bit of work to save up to go to Edinburgh, or to just get my comedy career off the ground, but this then splits my focus so thinly that there's no time to actually achieve my dream. Now I feel that it's time to really focus all of my time on my comedy and that's also very scary! But because I'm 100% focused on my goal, I've got to go for gold! If I'm doing Edinburgh then I need to do it properly.

PR, Advertising, Director, Photos, Flyers/Poster Printing, Distribution of flyers, Tech, Music, Props, Travel and that's without the expense of the venue and accommodation which takes the cost up even more, totalling around £11,000.

The Plan

I feel awful asking people for money at a time when everyone is struggling, so I don't expect anything from anyone and I appreciate it even if you've just read this far! So thank you. This is why I feel it's important to give back in some way. So for any funds raised I will do something in return...Please see my rewards section! With the money donated I will do lots of silly things but I will also use this money to pay for these elements of Edinburgh, which will take the strain off of the whole experience hugely.
