Aim

Help take Momme Domme from Toronto Fringe to Edinburgh Fringe!

We’re bringing MOMME DOMME to the Edinburgh Fringe and we need your support to help us get there.

Done asking if we're dating the same guy? Ready to build a matriarchy?

We are raising funds to support our Toronto Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe runs (wee Fringe tour) !!!

About Blemme Fatale Productions

Blemme Fatale Productions (est. 2023) co-creates live performances and supplementary schools that uncover hidden histories using Pan-African oral traditions.

Boundless echoes, just like your mama’s mama’s mama knows it.

We create work for the hyper-local and the chronically online, building alternative routes of education that help people reclaim cultural inheritance.

About MOMME DOMME

You’re invited to an exclusive preview of How To Be A Domme 101, hosted by performance artist and aspiring institutional darling Peggy Mitchell. Each night, four different women arrive ready for a private mistressclass. From TikTok tarot readings to strap-on sashaying, Momme Domme weaves sonic intervention, ritual and voyeurism into an embodied surrender to the matriarchy.

Part workshop, part intervention, MOMME DOMME is a seductive and surreal performance interrogating complicity, artistic consumption and the commodification of the feminine body.

The work is funny, uncomfortable, tender, messy, and deeply human.

Why This Story Matters

MOMME DOMME creates space for conversations about how art institutions profit in silence through exploitation by convening a revolving cast of women through play.

MOMME DOMME gives space for women to be furious and funny and implicated all at once. Maybe a matriarchy is possible?

Why the Edinburgh Fringe?

The Edinburgh Fringe is one of the largest performance festivals in the world.

Taking MOMME DOMME to the Fringe means:

  • introducing the work to international audiences
  • amplifying Black diasporic experimental theatre on an international stage
  • creating future opportunities for the artists involved

Fringe festivals are often financially inaccessible for emerging companies. Many artists self-fund participation entirely.

We want to do this without compromising the wellbeing of the artists making the work.

Why We Need Your Help

Your donations help cover:

  • venue fees
  • accommodation
  • flights, travel and freight
  • artist fees
  • rehearsal space
  • technical costs
  • Fringe marketing and publicity
  • printing and promotional materials

Supporting this campaign means supporting independent Black-led theatre and helping emerging artists build sustainable creative futures.
