We’re bringing a celebratory cabaret cavalcade to the final weekend of the Fringe… but we need funds to get the word out there!
A highlight of the Fringe for me has always been the last cabaret of the month - a chance for everyone, from performers, to workers to the enthusiasts, to come together, celebrate each other and each other’s work, and show what truly makes the Fringe great (and generally enjoy the chaos that comes with it!)
Imagine my dismay when I realised that no such cabaret was planned for this year! Well, from the ashes of keeping this wonderful tradition alive, Dr Waverly Weird's Last Night of the Fringe was born - a free cabaret late night on the last Sunday of the Fringe, where all are welcome to come and celebrate the end of the month!
Hosted by the eponymous Dr Weird, expect a cabaret cavalcade full of cheek, cheer and a whole heap of chaos to round out the season with some of the festival’s best and brightest.
Thanks to PBH’s Free Fringe, a venue and time has been secured for this show - I am asking for help in order to cover the Fringe’s official registration fees in order to get the show included on the official website and app.

WHERE YOUR MONEY WILL GO
The main purpose of this project is to cover the fees required to get Dr Waverly Weird's Last Night of the Fringe listed on the official EdFringe.com website and app. Beyond that, some funds will go towards printing promotional material for the show (flyers and posters), but the rest will go towards supporting our performers and helping the Free Fringe continue on!

ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Alastair and I have been attending and taking part in the Fringe in one form or another for the past 28 years (which, given I was only alive for 27 of them I think is pretty impressive). Over the years I've been a producer, director, performer, graphic designer, host, tech and punter, so I have a good idea of what makes a good show and, possibly more importantly, a good community. You may even see me about the Fringe, tech-ing a variety of shows - so if you do, please come say hello!
This project successfully funded on 7th July 2024
