Aim
Help us get our interactive wellbeing show, "How to Survive and Thrive in an Impossible World - with a piano!", to Edinburgh Festival Fringe
Mischievous, subversive, fun and fizzing with wisdom, "How to Survive and Thrive in a Impossible World - with a piano!" is an invitation to stand back and laugh at a world that is quite clearly bonkers, and take a timeout to realise a better way of dealing with it.
We're taking the show to Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2023 - and we need your help to get us there!
Our "interactive, wellbeing, musical, show thingy!" was created in 2022 with support from Arts Council England, Air Arts and University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.
Based on the book by Steve Bonham, an author, songwriter and award-winning psychologist, we first took the show to frontline staff in the NHS, providing them with a fun show, including storytelling, dancing, singing and movement, and - crucially - a toolkit to help them navigate this mad world, based on science-backed psychology.
How can you help?
Taking a show to Edinburgh is a significant financial commitment - and we're committed. We're going, whatever! There's venue hire, accommodation, travel, living costs, marketing. It all adds up! We can raise a certain amount of money through ticket sales, but that's only part of the story.

What do you get for helping out?
Everyone who donates to our Crowdfunder will be included on our Roll of Honour on the show website and will get an e-book of the original book, "How To Survive and Thrive". Any amount will be greatly appreciated!
If you donate £30 or more, you'll receive a very special, hand-crafted "Mystery Box" from us, containing a selection of unique items created especially for this campaign. Chief amongst the items is a "mystery envelope", which might include anything from a download link for The Long Road's latest album, to a unique offer to have a house concert in your living room, or various delights in between!
The Mystery Boxes will be sent out at the end of July, just before we head off to Edinburgh.

Why Edinburgh Fringe?
We really believe in the power of our show to be uplifting and entertaining, but also actually helpful for people to be able to not only survive but thrive!
If you donate today, you will be helping us on two key fronts:
1) Getting us to Edinburgh at all! We're excited to share the show with Edinburgh Fringe audiences and pass on our toolkit for flourishing in this mad world
2) Enable us to get our show in front arts industry professionals. These people are gatekeepers to our ultimate goal: getting the show on tour around the country, so we can help many thousands more people. Venue programmers from all around the country (and the world!) descend on Edinburgh Fringe to find the shows they want to bring to their venues back home. You would be helping us secure the next stage of the show's life by helping us get to Edinburgh 2023, so we can get our feet in the door with other venues around the country, so we can tour the show later in 2023 and throughout 2024.

How To Survive and Thrive is all about liberating people, giving them the tools to flourish in this mixed-up world, through a fun and interactive show.
Help us make this a reality for the many hundreds of people we'll - hopefully! - meet in Edinburgh in our audiences.
But also help us get lined up with venues to get the show out on tour later in the year, bringing the show's joy and wisdom to many thousands more, as we help people flourish in this mad world!
