HELLO LEGENDS XO

Georgia and Nancy here! We are very excited to announce that our show 'Georgia Polly-Taylor: Very Hot. Very Messy.' has been programmed @ Underbelly for a full month run at Edinburgh Fringe 2026! As fringe first-timers we are sleepless with elation and an 'OHMYGOD CAN YOU BELIEVE ITTTT' feeling.

Our creative romance began at Rose Bruford on BA(Hons) European Theatre Arts, both graduating in 2022 with 1st class honours #humblebrag #hotANDhardworking. Georgia asked Nancy to get involved with this show last summer when Georgia decided to do Camden Fringe, Nancy said yes. Since then we've been nominated for two Fringe Theatre Awards, Won a 'Best Performance' Ettie, and received glowing 5 ***** press attention (again #humblebrag #hotandhardworking).

We work together to beg, borrow and steal (not literally) to self-fund our art and gain momentum as creative professionals. Our work is female and queer led, always. We believe in a world where women are celebrated for being THE funniest people in the room, where a person’s ‘hotness’ can exist in harmony with their ‘mess’, authenticity is far more important to us than being palatable for the patriarchal lens.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

'A show with a bright future... Polly-Taylor is mesmerising. Spectacular physical comedy'. 5 ***** - Everything Theatre

"You leave the theatre feeling an instant connection with the rest of the audience" 5*****-  The Obscurity.

‘”Steamy, very funny…and deeply disturbing in places’” - Mark Ravenhill.

We find wannabe socialite-model ‘Hot Mess’ at her first ever MET Gala where poses are struck, bowels are loose and dreams are crushed faster than you can say nepotism. After a VERY public embarrassment on what was meant to be the night of her dreams, ‘Hot Mess’ goes on a journey through the drains of shame and self-discovery to find her place in the world. Part absurd clown, part catwalk diva: Georgia Polly-Taylor’s uniquely silly, sassy and sexy character celebrates the often disastrous reality of being human.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP:

One of our biggest barriers as emerging artists is MONEY (or lack there of).

Everything has been done completely off our own back. Prime example is that the toilet used in the show was rescued from a building site by Georgia's Dad (shout-out Mark Taylor x). Thanks to his willingness to deep clean said toilet… here we are. We are freelancers who juggle every hat required in order to pay the bills and fund this show. Having actual money would ELEVATE our work massively/stop Georgia’s Dad having to climb into skips to forage for porcelain.

MARKETING.

- As newcomers with seats to sell, our biggest challenge is generating word-of-mouth. The show is ready to be adored, we just need people to know about it. *NO POINT POURING YOUR HEART AND SOUL INTO YOUR FIRST ED FRINGE SHOW IF NO PUNTER IS GOING TO SEE IT NOW IS THERE?*

- Printing costs/Poster sites/Flyering support… This fund would allow us to pay for marketing opportunities to maximise the show’s (and our) growth.

COSTUME/MAKE-UP/SET DESIGN.

- We’ve secured support-in-kind from creative professionals we trust. Now we want to pay them for their gorgeous work.

Other costs:

  • Accommodation/Food for the month of August
  • Venue/Fringe fees
  • Technical hire and operator fees
