Our aim is to raise the funds needed to produce and perform our brand new musical show, Celtic Roots, at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024.
Celtic Roots: a creative musical journey through some of the best Celtic melodies that connect us to our roots.
North East born international singer, Kevin Littlejohn, takes his audiences through a musical journey of some of his favourite Celtic songs that remind him of his family, his heritage and his home. Kevin's endearing stage presence and impressive talent for storytelling makes for a truly captivating experience. Featuring Kevin's mesmerising vocals and a live fiddle player, Celtic Roots will explore themes of connection, feeling included and loved within a community, and the enduring significance of music in an ever changing world.
Celtic Roots will be not only a celebration of our Scottish heritage through song and spoken word, but a piece of theatre that explores the connections we have to our own homelands, the importance of community and inclusion, and the diverse interpretations of what ‘home’ means to everyone.
This production is being developed by Right Here Productions and Kevin Littlejohn, to be premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024. The show features traditional classics like 'Caledonia' and 'Maggie', as well as more modern hits like 'Walking on the Waves' and 'Take My Hand'.
Celtic Roots is scheduled for an eight performance run at theSpace @ Surgeons' Hall - Haldane Theatre this August.
By supporting our project you will be helping to make the vision of Celtic Roots become a reality. From the creation of the show, right through to the running costs of the production, your support will be invaluable to each and every step of this journey.
