Investing further in creating projects that nurture and showcase the talents of young people.
Sian & I run Crescendo Performing Arts as volunteers and as a 'not for profit' club. We nurture the talents of young performers through projects and showcases. Through the opportunities we give we aim to be catalysts of positive change in our students & participants. Taking Café L'Arté the musical to the Edinburgh Fringe is our most ambitious project yet and a great opportunity for growth for the young people & all others involved
Where we're different from most performing arts schools is that many of our productions are original. Lots of fun but takes much more time.
I personally love the Edinburgh Fringe and know how it's inspired many like me for many years. In particular an immersive musical I watched in 2016 had a profound effect on me, in effect, in one magical hour, it changed me. It directly inspired me to write an immersive musical and one based on how one hour can change someone's life. That musical is Café L'Arté which was performed in Milton Keynes in 2017. We received amazing reviews back then which you can find by clicking here
Yet it's taken us this long to get the show to Edinburgh. That's because there's quite a hefty cost element to taking a show there 😟 but we're so excited that we're finally doing it 💪🏻.
As Café L'Arté is set in a coffee shop we've decided to work with the coffee roaster Milk&Beans to offer our very own coffee package to help us raise funds.
The 200g boxes are £7 (or whatever amount you'd like to donate beyond this amount will be very welcome & appreciated) plus p&p
This project offers rewards in return for your donation.
