We are a small, independent devised theatre company hoping to fund our trip to take our piece "Between Strands" to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Hello!

We are Pebble Theatre, an emerging, independently devised performance company. Taking its name from the pebble: a small, ordinary object capable of creating meaningful ripples. The company transforms what is overlooked into something active and resonant on stage. Through physical exploration, improvisation, and object-led performance, the company creates visually inventive work that emerges from embodied experimentation and material curiosity.

We are so excited to be bringing "Between Strands," a visually-led devised theatre work that emerges from ESEA perspectives and Asian diaspora lived experience, to the Edinburgh Fringe this August. This solo performance explores hair as a vessel of memory, cultural identity, Taiwanese ritual, and transformation.

We will be part of the Laughing Horse Free Fringe programme, meaning all of our shows will be completely free for audiences to see, with optional donations at the end of each performance. This means we don't expect to be making any profit, and are doing this because we believe this work is important and should be accessible to anyone. That being said, the journey is far from affordable! Your contributions to this crowdfunder will help us in our journey to and at the Edinburgh Fringe. 

The money we raise will help us cover: Accommodation and travel to and from Edinburgh, marketing to help reach as many people as possible, food (even meal deals rack up!), and to cover the cost of registration and venue fees we already have paid. 

Your contributions will be helping 3 non-British artists have an amazing and nurturing experience, whilst also helping us spread this story that explores how connection persists across distance, and how identity is reshaped through migration. We appreciate and thank everyone who can and will contribute (you'll even get a personal thank-you from us!).
