East & Under Theatre Company is raising money to take their first show to the Edinburgh Fringe!

WHO ARE EAST & UNDER?

East & Under Theatre Company represents the collaborative efforts of young artists from Norwich and Australia. It's a group of writers, directors and actors working together to create and stage new work from across the pond. The really nifty part is once a show has proved itself in either country, it can cross the equator and go on there!

There are loads of exciting projects being worked on behind the scenes, but we're delighted to be bringing our first play to the Edinburgh Fringe this year!

SO.. WHAT'S THE PLAY?

A Balloon Will Pop at Some Point During This Play Is a one act show exploring the perils of hunting for certainty. It asks what we know about ourselves, what we know about our universe, and whether it's worth trying to know anything at all. 

We all find uncertainty uncomfortable, and we cling to so many different things to try and avoid it. This play asks you why.

It's also very silly.

WHAT DO WE NEED YOU FOR?

Starting a theatre company and staging new work isn't easy... or cheap. Venue hire, travel, accomodation, costume, props - these are unavoidable costs. Any donations you make will go directly into covering these costs and will allow us to put on the show. It really is that simple.

The real upside though: Once we've raised this money, any ticket sales will be able to go straight back into funding the next show.. and the next one.. and the next! By donating, you're helping to guarantee a platform for exciting new work for years to come!
