Edinburgh Fringe 2026!
‘Baby Steps’ is about women in their mid-twenties navigating the overwhelming quagmire of choices facing them within the context of reproductive justice and women’s rights. Click here to see the R&D Programme.
Ultimately, it is a show that speaks to anyone who has ever questioned what to do with their lives against the current backdrop of social media extremism. Specifically, ‘Baby Steps’ interrogates the unique set of paths and pressures faced by women in their 20s.
Our research driven methods allow us to include perspectives beyond our own. We have interviewed young mums, queer women, women of colour, working-class women, women from diverse faiths, women across the country, women with a variety of educational, financial and working backgrounds, in order to fully understand the multiplicity of factors affecting decision making. Weaving these perspectives into ‘Baby Steps’, opens the play’s relatability to a far broader audience.
