Get 'An Ode to the Casting Director' back to Edinburgh Fringe!

The 2026 OffFEST nominee returns to Edinburgh with none other than Assembly after a smash-hit debut with five-star sell-out shows, winning a Fringe Theatre Award in 2025. Impressively accoladed solo show written and performed by screen actress Sophie Fisher (The Scotsman's Rising Stars of Edinburgh Fringe 2025) following her gawky yet determined autobiographical self battling through a minefield of film industry dickheads, gender-role-obsessed boyfriends and insane actors, one audition at a time.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?
We are excited to be returning to Edinburgh with an absolute dream slot at Assembly after an incredible debut in 2025. Without the incredible support from last year, we wouldn't have been able to get to Edinburgh and the same goes for this year. Taking a show to Edinburgh is no easy feat and that is where we need your support. Every penny helps - the cost of taking a show can reach up to £15000. I am keen, even at this early stage in my career, to take care of my team and properly reimburse them for their hard work and talent. Fringe is expensive but we need to take care of our Artists. Your support would help to cover some of the following costs:
Registration Fee: £393.60
Rehearsal Space: £250
Operator Fees: £2500
Travel / Accommodation for the team: £4000
Marketing: £1500
Set / Props / Costumes: £200
We are looking to raise £5000. As unfunded, self producing Artists your support goes a really long way. As much as I would love to sink all of my own money into my work, my partner tells me I need to be a financially responsible adult and ask for help.
