Aim
All is Pink in West Berkshire County is a black melodramatic comedy poking fun at the short comings of upper class Britain.
It’s Christmas in the Abbey stately home. The fire is crackling, crackers are popping, chestnuts are roasting – not to mention Eve Abbey has brought her first long-term boyfriend, Rory McDonnell home for the festivities. Set in the near future in the early years of a national ‘meat ban’, the family bitterly mourns its absence. Conversations of class, morals and relationships dance round the dinner table as it is announced that meat will be back on the menu this year – human meat, and just in time for Rory McDonnell’s arrival too. Conflicted over such happenings, the table descends into madness.
‘All is Pink in West Berkshire County’ is a black melodramatic comedy, telling the grisly story of one family’s unsavoury cravings over the Christmas period.
