0G Crush is a show about finding love through a meme page set to an all original adult contemporary score.
"Breathtakingly sweet, achingly sorrowful in parts, and acerbic in its wittiness." — ★★★★ The Age
A wired fever dream of modern romance, 0G Crush dives into the chaos of online desire—where e-girls, soyboys and late-night voicenotes collide. What started as a meme-page experiment became a gravity-defying love story. Now it’s a one-man play with a pulsing soundtrack and a real heart.
Premiering at Theatre Works for Midsumma Festival in Melbourne to sold-out houses, and with an album of the work backed by Creative Victoria, 0G Crush is heading to the Edinburgh Fringe, playing nightly in Assembly’s Drawing Room from July 30–August 25.
Willing is the stage name of Will Hannagan, a Melbourne-born, London-based theatre maker and recording artist whose genre-blurring work fuses song, text, and performance art.
From his breakout musical The Gathering (NYMF, starring MJ Rodriguez from Netflix's Pose) to the internet-breaking Gaga v Assange ('Tragically good!' - Julian Assange), to his solo theatre hit Alibi ('a tour-de-force of writing and performance' - The Australian), Willing’s work is consistently praised for its daring form and emotional punch.
As a musician, his album Unreal City and EPs Small Cruelties and Pure Romance have built him a cult following in Australia’s queer underground—and beyond.
Will did his first cabaret at age 14 at St Martins Youth Arts Centre and hasn’t stopped since. Six cabarets, six original musicals, an album, two EPs, a TV pilot, countless festivals, creative developments and tours later… Edinburgh still loomed as the big one.
Now living in London, the time is finally right. The show is ready. The story is worth it. And the dream is real. But we need your help to make it happen.
We’re asking for support to cover just a portion of the many costs of taking an indie show to Fringe:
The £2K goal covers a fifth of the total production budget of £12k. The rest Will is contributing himself. Ticket sales will provide some buffer but to break even on a Fringe show is a rare occurrence.
Every donation—big or small—gets us closer to the lights going up in Edinburgh.
If you’ve ever been moved by Willing’s work, laughed at one of his memes, or cried into natural wine while playing one of his songs—this is your moment to be part of the next big chapter.
Donate, share, and help us bring 0G Crush to the world stage.
